Whether PCS orders have you selling or buying a home in Maryland, there are three programs you should know about. They could help you in other parts of the country as well:
As the spouse, daughter and granddaughter of veterans, I take a lot of pride in serving today's military families, and military moves have been a large segment of my real estate business for over 30 years.
Using the Department of Defense Home Owners Assistance Program in Maryland, obtaining a VA Compromise, buying a home before the extension for military families expires - these three programs are just the beginning... You have unique opportunities as well as requirements when you receive PCS orders. I "get" that.
Nothing could please me more than an opportunity to help you achieve your goals and enjoy the smoothest possible military move to or from Maryland.

Great post Margaret! And thanks for taking good care of those military families!
Margaret, Thank God for people like you who serve and help our Military Fa miles.
Nice update for military families. Did you ever hear back from the referral?
Always great to support the millitary and inform them of mortgage programs they may not be aware of!
Great information delivered with the use of video. Way to stay ahead of the market.
Well done Margaret! What a great way for military families to meet you, and understand what their choices are when moving to or from Forte Meade military base.. With your knowledge and experience they will be well taken care of!!
Great job Margaret! I enjoyed this one very much! I'm loving our VBloggers group! =)
Kathryn - Last month I created an Excel spreadsheet to list my blogs and their category - the column for military relocation was just plain empty, so I'm going to work on that in February.
Frank - You gotta work with military families in the Crofton area - we have plenty of them!
Cindy - YOU are the queen when it comes to this stuff. Thanks for your call today... that was a big help. Too bad their FAQ says unequivocably that it's 120 days - very misleading.
Bill - I'm finding that many military folks are unaware of these options, so and I believe most agents aren't knowledgeable about them.
Alan - Where's my make-up artist when I need her?
Pam and Lee - I do these things in a bunch, and then none for a while. Maybe the group will keep me doing them more often.
Nyssa - Trying to keep them to 1-minute, if possible, and not to exceed 2 minutes. I don't think a talking head in front of a video-cam is going to hold people's attention for very long. Glad you liked this one.
I LOVE the video Margaret! Shows and introduces you, and your knowledge in helping military families relocate to your area!
Now, about this spreadsheet....
Yes, Thom, that spreadsheet is VERY telling. I'll send you a copy via email, and watch for a post and pie-chart later this week.
Margaret - I enjoyed this video to get to know you a little better and I'm sure those that find you on the internet will as well - thanks for adding this to the vbloggers group for others to see a good example!
