Anne Arundel County Golf Course Communities (LOCALISM FEATURED)

Included in Your Online Relocation Package for Anne Arundel County, Maryland - Home of Fort George G. Meade, NSA, Northrop Grumman, BWI, and the U.S. Naval Academy.

If you're a golfer, chances are good that living near a golf course is a priority for you.  I know because that describes my family!

There's no shortage of golf courses in the D.C. - Baltimore area, that's for sure!  In Anne Arundel County alone there are thirteen, including three on military installations (Fort Meade and the U.S. Naval Academy).  But which are located in a "golf course community" where you and your family could walk or bike to the golf course?

To answer that question for you, I compiled this list of Anne Arundel County golf courses along with addresses and links to their websites.  A brief description of each golf course is based on data from golfable.com and information about housing was compiled from listings in the Metropolitan Regional Information Systems, Inc. (MRIS), our regional MLS.  Courses I consider to be located in "golf course communities" are marked with an asterisk (*).

Margaret - this is a very comprehensive post about golfing, and including the links to the courses as well. Also, I like how you added the information about the housing communities near each course.

Gary - You'll appreciate this... I wrote the basic outline for this BEFORE I went to Texas, and you know how long ago that was!  Then I jadded to it whenever I got a chance until I finally finished this morning.  A 3-month long effort!

Sharon - I've been looking at homes around the country for future retirement, and it drives me crazy that it's so darn hard to figure out where the golf communities are.

Brian - Thank you!  Our two Crofton golf courses are big attractions for this community.

Thanks, Sally - There are a lot of golf course communities, but no easy way to find them.  Hopefully this will show up in Google for a relocating golfer!

Pippa - Thank you, it was a lot of work putting this together, but hopefully it will help prospective homebuyers.

Kristin - It's not easy to find golf course communities - I guess we just "lucked" into finding Crofton.

Gary - Thank you!  Without a doubt, this is something golfers look for.  Even my daughter, who is an occasional golfer, admits a nearby golf course is one of the things that attracted her to buying her house.

Elizabeth, Gratias!  'Don't know if you saw my response to Gary, but I started work on it back in June and added a little info whenever I had time.

Patricia - Thank you!  If you hear of any golfers moving to the D.C. or Baltimore area...

Margaret- Thanks for the great example of a Localism post.  Although I'm horrible, I love to play golf and now I have a perfect example of what to write for my market.  Thanks.

Matt, it's a lot of work to pull this together.  I would get it half done, and by the time I got back to it, the MLS info would change - and this happened a few times.

Castellum Realty - Thank you fo rsuch a nice compliment

Thesa - Thank you!  This is a question golfers want the answer to.  I do, as I look at potential retirement areas around the country.

Ana - Thanks, I hope it gave you some inspiration for your area.
