I wrote something about NATIONAL WEAR RED DAY last year on the actual day, and some people commented they wished they'd known about it before they got dressed for work that day. So... here's some advance notice.
Tomorrow is a day for wearing red as a reminder of Women's Heart Health, and there are some national sponsors that may interest you.
Shop Macy's February 4-8, while wearing red - You will get a special discount.
Win a cookbook when you participate in the Heart Smarts Challenge sponsored by Merck and Company.
... and check out other corporate partners on the GoRed website.
There's a Flickr Group, and a Facebook Group for all you social media people, too.
As it says on the website, Everyone can support the fight against heart disease in women by wearing red. It's a simple, powerful way to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke.
Now, take a minute for this Go Red Check-up - that's where I'm headed now.
Remember WEAR RED on Friday!

I am in. My wifes family has heart issues. She is getting checked all the time
Thanks for the reminder, Margaret. I knew it was coming up this is so easy for everyone to participate in and fun to do.
Margaret-Thanks for the reminder. When I'm selecting my attire I'll be sure to wear RED and since it's my color it will be that much easier. Most important, excellent cause!
Thanks for the reminder! It's a great way to support a very important issue in the lives of many people.
Excellent reminder! I remembered last year but would have completely forgot this year. Thanks. Terrie
Hi Margaret, Thanks for remembering and for reminding us. Is that your lovely daughter? I think I see a resemblance.
A comment about my daughter from Shirley - this grabs my attention to comment on comments! Yes, that's Susan. I used a stock photo last year, but decided to go through my family albums instead this year.
Terrie - I think my guilty conscience makes me perk up and listen to this... more exercise, better diet - I hear yah!
Integrity Mortgage - 'Headaed to Macy's... How about you?
Mary - Me too, half my wardrobe is red (and red dominates my casual wardrobe, since I'm a Terps fan)
Missy - I'm on their mailing list, so I got a reminder. Otherwise, I probably would have assumed it was closer to Valentine's Day
Russ - You're probably more up-to-date on this than many of us, and know how important it is for men to encourage their ladies to guard their heart health.
Hi Margaret, thanks for the heads up...I will atleast wear a Red Tie! Nice update Margaret.
This day is popular in Lancaster, and gets good publicity every year.
I'm all over it I might not be red from head to toe but I bet someone notices. Thanks for the heads up.
Gary - Way to Go!
Jeff - We don't hear much about it around the D.C. suburbs - just in the Macy's ads.
Terry - As a Terps fan, I've got plenty of red in my wardrobe. It will be easy for me.
I saw this on fox news this morning and while getting dressed was tricky for me. ( I looked out the window while still in my towel to see the well repair man headed toward my door) I still managed to grab a red sweater in the 30 seconds I gave myself to get dressed in.
